It has been proclaimed to be the sight in which King Qutb Shah had the first glimpse of his Lady Love and later married her (Princess Baghmati). He constructed the Mosque & Monument as a remembrance of his Love towards his queen by the year 1594. However, many scholars believe that the Mosque has been built to combat the plague outrage by praying in the hall during the year 1591. Today it has become a Global landmark for Hyderabad and stands resembling the former glory of Islamic Culture. Hyderabad City was found around the same time.
